Stay safe first

Before you think about insurance or repairs, make sure you and your family are safe. Storm damage can create hidden hazards — gas leaks, structural weakness, electrical dangers — that need immediate attention.

  • If your home is unsafe or you smell gas, call 911. DFW Storm Team is not an emergency service.
  • Stay away from downed power lines — assume they are live and call your utility.
  • Do not walk or drive through flood water — it can be deeper or more dangerous than it looks.
  • Make only reasonable emergency repairs to prevent further damage (tarp a hole, shut off water). Keep every receipt.
